Today in class we talked about the subtle and not-so-subtle differences between concentration (or one-pointedness) and mindfulness (or open awareness). It’s interesting to move back and forth between the two, and see the relationship or overlap between the two. I referred to a great book called “Mindfulness in Plain English” by Bhante Gunaratana.
